Venice is well trodden ground for the artist. So, as much as I was drawn to the energy and life around the Grand Canal, I chose to do most of my drawing in the quieter streets of Castello and Dorsodouro.

I did a couple of sketches in Bruton Street this week on the way over to see Jon Savage’s photos of Ladbroke Grove in the late 70’s at Maggs Counterculture.
